The hassle of changing fret cauls several times for each neck to provide even and constant pressure when installing frets was solved by this very clever design. What can I say - it works!! Classical to vintage refrets, wide or narrow fingerboards, straight or compound radius, it does it all. Since installation in our fret press, the Fractal Fret Press has been the only fret pressing caul we have used. Our PLEK machine likes to true a slight compound radius into a fingerboard profile, not having to adjust the profile manually or switch pressing cauls in the fretting process definitely saves time.
Thank you for this wonderful tool, it truly is an upgrade to our fretting system
